Live Stream Overlays
Over the last few years, we saw the rise of live streaming on the internet. People turned to Twitch, Youtube Live, and Facebook Gaming to seek human connection and entertainment during an abrupt change to a mostly digital life. I got the opportunity to work with some awesome people to help them develop their stream brand. I’ve worked on everything from tiny chat emotes to overlays and transition animations.

We started with some logo concepts. Manta rays are his favorite animal and wanted that to be a part of the design. From this draft, we chose to elaborate on options 3, 4, and 6 along with the space theme.
From there, we experimented with further treatments and ultimately chose a variation of the logo in the 2nd column of the top row. The client has a form of colorblindness, so vibrant colors that are discernable to him was an important consideration for the final result.
The Results
We nailed down a brand theme and some colors which guided how the rest of the assets were going to look. The final pack included a logo with alternate color variations, banners, chat overlays, in-game overlays, a starting soon video loop, a scene transition animation, several emotes, subscription badges, and static starting, waiting, and offline screens.
